If I listed all the things I like about Baby Basics…it would be a long list, but very near the top of that list would be. 1. Helping Mums. 2. Recycling.
As an Environmentalist I like the challenge of trying to reuse baby related goods that are no longer needed. One of the things we get donated is open packs of clean and new nappies. We don’t give these out as part of our Moses baskets starter packs we only give out brand new packs of Nappies. This is because a Starter Pack is a gift, it looks beautiful and is packed with love and care. It is our way of showing the new Mum and Baby that they are valued, loved and important.
The open packs are given out as extras to any of the professionals coming to pick up from Baby Basics. Some go straight to the clients and some may go to places like Baby Clinics. This is also a bonus for me as present wrapping is one of my favourite things to do.
Here are a few rules to make the Bundles useful.
- Only bundle the same size nappy together.
- Attach a label with the size on… it’s really confusing otherwise.
- When wrapping with ribbon squeeze the nappies together this makes the bundle neater and less likely to fall apart.
