Baby Basics. Cot Bumper mini changing bag.

This is something to make out of a specific cot bumper. It is not very common and unlike the typical ones, it has individual panels and lots of ties. This tutorial uses 2 of the panels to make a small roll up bag with a pocket. It can fit a small pack of travel wipes, some nappy sacks and a couple of nappies.

Made a whole tutorial with this beautiful patterned bumper… only to realise it’s impossible to see what’s going on.

Re- done with contrasting colours.

You need 2 panels.

Choose 1 panel for the inside pockets. Cut off the 4 outside ties. leaving the 2 central ties on this panel only.

Fold in half and tie the remaining ties loosely together. Place in the middle on the the second panel. Lining up the fold with one of the long edges. Sew the 2 sides and bottom edges on the pockets to the second panel.

You have now made 2 internal pockets.

I sewed 12 of these and only broke 3 needles. Which for cot bumper sewing is a good ratio for me.

This is what it looks like with wipes and nappies.

Finished.
